  • Clinic (DOB 9/1/12 - 8/31/13) in-house
  • Tykers (DOB 9/1/2010 - 8/31/2012) in-house and tournament teams
  • Lightning (DOB 9/1/2008 - 8/31/2010) travel
  • Midgets (DOB 9/1/2006 - 8/31/2008) travel
  • Juniors (DOB 9/1/2004 - 8/31/2006) travel

Program details:

Ducks:  An introduction to lacrosse, with a focus on basic stick skills and fun.  This is a non-contact program without pads.  Boys play Saturdays in April and May for one hour at Dumbarton Middle School in the early afternoon.  Players will be provided with a Warrior Warp Jr. lacrosse stick as part of their registration.

Clinic:  This is the first introduction to full pad, limited contact lacrosse.  Teams will practice one night per week at Towson High School, and play one hour games in the afternoons on Saturdays at Dumbarton Middle School in April and May.

Tyker in-house:  This is the next step up for kids in Clinic, but is still a good option for first-time players as well.  Kids play in pads, practice two nights per week (likely at Meadowood) and play games in the late afternoon on Saturdays at Dumbarton Middle School in April and May.

We have found that our in-house is more competitive than travel, so we are going to keep everyone in in-house this year, which will allow us build in additional training opportunities for everyone, have better coaching, and reduce travel and stress on families.  We know some parents are yearning for travel for their kids... but trust us.  This will be a much better option in terms of competitiveness, teaching, and fun.

Tyker Tournament Teams:  We will be building at least one Tyker team this year that will participate in post season tournaments. This is a great way to give Tyker-in house kids increased competition and more lacrosse without forcing them into travel.

Lightning, Midgets, and Juniors:  We will form multiple rec travel teams in each of these age brackets.  Teams will be placed in the MYLA rec league and play other rec council teams throughout the state.  Players will be placed in either A, B, or C brackets based on their ability.

All players will get a new KP uniform, and your fees cover both league registration for MYLA.  Additional fees for travel teams may apply depending on tournament participation.
